Sometimes it feels like every time I finish a new painting, I “fall in love” with it and it becomes my new favorite, but that’s really not the case. In reality, there are many, many times that I finish a painting and it falls flat. It feels like something is missing. It doesn’t excite me. I have to put those aside to maybe revisit some time in the future.
That’s not the case for this one, though. As soon as I finished that turquoise sky, I knew that this one had something special to say. I hope it speaks to you.
