The Breathing Space Collection exemplifies the peace and beauty that surrounds me, conveying the emotions I experienced while creating each piece. Some works depict specific places, while others are compilations of several locations, blended to create visually appealing scenes. Also, a few pieces have emerged from my imagination and intuition, leaning more into whimsy and stylization, yet still reflecting my love of New Mexico's landscapes.

These mountains calm, soothe, and heal me. As I paint, I feel missing pieces of myself returning, and a deep sense of belonging. Words can’t fully express these feelings, so I hope the paintings can fill those gaps. The wide, open spaces bring me such a strong sense of peace. There’s a quietness in the vast expanse that soothes my soul. Immersed in this open beauty, my inner and outer worlds become quiet, I feel joy, and I can breathe.
